34 Weeks and Still Pregnant with Triplets! Kristen jokingly said a couple of days ago that maybe we should ask everyone to stop praying! We talked about the fact that scripture teaches us that God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask or think, and that is certainly what seems to be happening here.

Kristen is, understandably, extremely uncomfortable. The only thing she has complained even a little about in the 4 weeks I have been in Washington, has been her shoulder, which has shown marked improvement this week. Despite the fact that she can hardly move or breathe with three babies growing daily, she usually says she has not reached her limit yet and knows that every day the babies aren't born yet is just that much better for them. Only in the last couple of days has she begun to concede that the discomfort is becoming harder to handle. One doctor today told her he thought she could go 36 weeks. Doctors are consulting now to decide when to schedule the C section, so we would appreciate your prayers as they juggle between what is best for the babies and what is really necessary for Kristen to endure.

When Kristen was 5 years old and we were living in Nashville, we attended a church that all my family also called their church home. Her Aunt Bev and Bev's roommate at that time, Miss Melody, were Kristen's Daisy teachers in a program that is sort of like Brownies, but with a Christian emphasis. Aunt Bev has kept in touch with Miss Melody and Melody, who is now a teacher and has been following Kristen and the babies during this pregnancy, actually prays with all the kids in her first or second grade class each week for Kristen and the triplets. Not sure how she is able to do this in a public school setting, but the children are following events in Washington closely and just this past week Melody phoned Aunt Bev during class for a triplet update because all the kids had been anxious to know if we have babies yet! I am more convinced than ever that God has heard all our prayers - maybe especially prayers from these little ones in a school in Kentucky. We are so grateful!
